And there’s more

Carrying on with the updates, the week after our trip to Bolton Abbey (see previous post) we had another trip into the Dales and went to Malham again. We were mainly going for a walk, but the day we chose happened to be the day of the Malham Show, so we decided to have a lookaround. It had the usual country events – horse jumping, livestock judging, crafts, etc. There was also a farmers’ market where we bought some delicious meat. And lunch was a scrumptious hot (organic) roast pork sandwich with all the trimmings.

We spent rather longer at the show than we intended, but we eventually set off on our walk.

The view after the climb was worth it!

We walked over the limestone pavement on top of the cove, down the steps at the far side and back into the village, where we made ready to set off home.
